I've been a part of multiple paid coaching and membership programs in the past. Some of these taught me a lot and made me more money in my business. Others, left me high and dry for months on end and finally ended up with me having to ditch them.
I'm not exactly sure why I chose to write about this right now because it has been awhile since I've been burned by poor coaching programs, but better late than never. I figured I would post this as a warning to people who are eager to jump into courses that are 100% based on coaching and membership forums.
There are some expectations that you need to check before you pay for any coaching. Here are mine:
- Has the "guru" or coach made a living using what he (or she) teaches? A lot of these so called gurus are whipping out paid coaching and courses for topics that are just hot at the moment in the industry. Believe it or not, some gurus have actually ONLY made their living in the IM niche alone and have never actually had success elsewhere. Crazy to hear - I know, but it is true.
- I remember hearing this one woman in a seminar say that she could never get her business off the ground with affiliate and online marketing. This led her to start a consultation business where she taught other people how to be successful in their business. I believe in karma and don't want to out anyone, but sheesh!
- Is the actual coaching run by the person selling it to you? I've seen some "coaches" just outsource the coaching to a few "team leaders" or whatever they want to call them. I personally don't see how you can outsource someone else to teach your business - at least they should sell it that way.
- Is the coaching or membership running dry with fresh and useful information? I have held on to some memberships in the past for way longer than I should have. Here is a simple fact to live by in this industry - if you are not growing, learning, or profiting from any of the information, then just let it go. Don't act as though you owe something to the author or coach.
There are a ton of other factors that I consider before I fully trust another marketer and I guess you could say that I have a fine ability to cut through their crap nowadays.
This might seem like a rant to some, but take it to heart. Don't give credit to someone just because they say they have made $XXXXX in 5 days. Have them earn your trust the old fashioned way and use your gut instinct before giving your hard earned cash to another marketer.
I've been getting emails about this course called Info Prodigy by Tim Godfrey, Steve Clayton and Kate Anderson lately. This is initially what prompted me to take a more in-depth look at the course.
I know we've seen a lot of these "how to make your own info product" courses lately. At the beginning of the year there was a big course that launched and it had a huge ticket price - Guru Blueprint. All throughout the year, we have seen courses like it come out, but they seem to be just "copy cat" based information.
Is Info Prodigy Another Copy Cat?
I have seen Guru Blueprint and this makes it very easy to tell if this Info Prodigy course is ripping information from it. Here is a look at the course overview:
- Finding a niche
- Developing Your Product
- Sales and Marketing Strategies
- Taking Payments
- Launching Your Product
- The Exit Strategy
- Valuable Additions
This is the formula that it takes to make a successful product and of course it might be similar to other courses. (If you look at the course review I have linked to below, you will see more detail for each of these areas)
But back to our primary question - is it a copy cat? - No, this course is based on the experience of the author and was built from the ground up. If you want to get into info product creation at a fraction of the cost that other people are paying to learn, then this is for you.
Here is another Info Prodigy review if you are interested in getting a second opinion.

What is the Difference between Profit Instruments and CPA Instruments?
Here is what Ritoban said:
"There’s a BIG difference actually. Profit Instruments showed my overall formula of how I build websites and how I get my traffic. But, my SECRET weapon in many cases has been my “BLUEPRINT” for working with CPA networks.
I’ve mastered the process of really picking the BEST offer and how to PROMOTE that offer using a few specific kinds of sites. I’ve also developed an exact FORMULA on where and how I get traffic SPECIFICALLY for CPA offers…
CPA Instruments stands on it’s own – it does not NEED Profit Instruments attached to it."
NOTE: Get it while you can... I'm taking this report below offline at the end of the week.
Autoresponder Madness 2 is a course that uncovers how to successfully sell to your list created by Andre Chaperon. The product shows you how to use what the author calls a soap opera story in order to effectively sell exactly what the people on your list need.
The Autoresponder Madness 2 system consists of:
- Creating massive leverage
- Using a special story to sell what your list wants
- If you want to know more, read the report by signing up below...
Andre Chaperon actually gave out a free report that talks about Autoresponder Madness. The report is called "How To Make Money Online... If I Only Had $1,000 In The Bank!" and I can promise you that it does deliver the goods. I actually took notes from this report and put them in my business journal (I usually don't find new meaty information to put in there and it's hard to make the cut).
You can get the outline report for FREE by signing up here (nothing to buy - I just can't put this out for public download)...
