My Review of the WP Split Tester

WP Split Tester is a new tool that I found awhile ago and it is making it extremely easy to make my blogs profitable and here is why…  The little talked about tactic that makes big money in Internet Marketing is called split testing. When I first started online a few years ago, I did so with PPC. I mention this, because PPC has split testing almost ingrained in it. People spending money on traffic have learned that split testing is the quickest way to find profitability with any type of traffic.

However, when I moved into SEO and started using blogs to get traffic, I immediately began looking for a method to split test my traffic. What did I find? Truthfully, I didn’t find anything.

Well, I guess I could have used Google Website Optimizer, but did I really want Google with their hand in all of my sites? And I’m not just paranoid! Many other marketers strongly advise against using Google in your sites because then then know exactly who you are and what you are doing.

So I figured out that it would not be smart to go with Google for split testing.

I couldn’t find anything for awhile and just decided that I was going to have to do split testing the hard way… manually. Every so often I would switch out ads and then see if I would get more sales with a different ad in its place. I would try to keep track of conversions this way, but it truthfully became very difficult to tell what was converting better.

About a week ago, I got fed up with my inefficient method and decided to see if anybody had made a split tester for wordpress.

Guess what? Richard Adams (a guy who I had heard of before) has created a plugin called WP Split Tester.

This plugin looks like it will be the solution to my problems and here is what it promises to:

• Help me figure out what ads my visitors will click on.
  • Ok, this makes sense. If I can switch out multiple ads, then I should know which ads get more clicks very quickly.
• Which pages get more clicks on my ads.
  • This sounds cool and it will definitely make a difference in my income.
• Which ads lead to sales.
  • This is the most important part of a split tester and the whole reason I split test in the first place – money and increased ROI (return on investment).

I’m going to get my hands on this sweet little plugin and I will get an official review for you guys.

UPDATE:

I got my hands on the plugin tonight and I have to say that I am impressed.  Taking a quick look at the backend, I see that there is an analytics for your blog so that you can see specifically which ads are getting clicks that are converting.  This feature alone will make it extremely easy to turn blogs profitable in a few days.

The next thing that I noticed was that the plugin allows you to insert ads in the top, middle, and bottom of posts.  The plugin gives you the option to choose if you want the ad to show up in either of these positions or if you want it disabled.

I really just want to bring it home to everyone that a tool just like this is how you turn your traffic into income.  Testing is how you first make money with any form of traffic and testing is also how you make more money with your traffic.

Whether you have a few visitors a day or even if you have hundreds to thousands a day, this tool is a must and I definitely recommend it.
